Instantes de Yerbabuena 15



Antaño, un abrevadero para caballos y burros que transitaban por las calles empedradas.

Toda esta zona fué muy rica en yacimientos de oro, plata, plomo, zinc, piedra caliza, mercurio, yeso, fluorita y talco, siendo la minería su principal actividad.

Actualmente, la mayoría de las minas han cerrado y los pobladores han emigrado a otras ciudades, muchos de ellos al vecino paíse del norte, en busca de oportunidades de empleo.


This was a very busy street at the end of the last century, begining of the recent, when mining kept this town crowded. Those days, horses and donkeys would stop to drink in this watering place.

Nowdays, the town is almost empty, the watering place is dry and most of the young people have emigrated to other cities or to the north, to look for job opportunities. The elder remember and talk about the Ol'days...
